Time to get Messy!!

Old jeans, messy T-shirt, hair tied up… What’s better than a fun-filled day of painting?!?! Painting is such an easy way to completely transform something old and dull into something new and vibrant!

Everyone thinks we are crazy painting our entire home in 2 months from moving in, but you just gotta suck it up and DO IT! And a fresh coat of paint makes all the difference in the world. I am super excited about painting FURNITURE though after taking Repurposed and Refined’s Annie Sloan Furniture Painting Class a few weeks ago. (I know I am really behind of posts lately- sorry! This silly thing called LIFE keeps getting in the way!!)

Anyways, this class was great! It was 5 hours, and just the escape I needed. I learned different painting styles, but most importantly I learned how to use and work with this amazing furniture paint. Here a picture of the stool I painted during the class…

I am SUPER excited because I have LOTS of furniture pieces in the house that are getting face lifts, and today I FINALLY got the start of my Annie Sloan chalk paint collection (3 of my favorites):
